Stone coffee terraces on the slopes of the Haraaz mountains

Single-origin Yemeni coffee, roasted to order in Dubai.

One mountain. A handful of families. Every bag traces back to them.

The trees sit on stone terraces cut into the Haraaz range, west of Sana'a. Cherries ripen slowly at that altitude. Every one is picked by hand, in several passes, over about six weeks. The fruit is then dried whole on raised beds in the sun.

We buy direct. No agent, no auction lot. We pay above the Sana'a export rate, straight to the farm, half at contract and half on shipping. Prices are agreed before the harvest starts.

How we roast.

Small batches

Twelve kilos at a time on a drum roaster in Al Quoz. Nothing bigger.

Roasted to order

We roast after your order comes in, then pack the same day.

Roast date on the bag

Stamped on the base. You will always know how old your coffee is.

Eleven farms, all named.

Ahmed Al Haymi farms about a hectare above Al Haymah. Saleh Qasim and his brother work a smaller plot on the Bani Matar side. Nine more families sit between them along the same ridge.

They set the price with us before picking begins, and it has been above the local export rate every season since 2021. We publish what we paid on each bag. That is the whole arrangement.

One note a month, when the new lot lands.

Harvest news, roast dates, and nothing else.
